  The multidimensional therapeutic potential of rumex nepalensis: A comprehensive review

  Rumex nepalensis spreng. (Polygonaceae), sometimes known as Nepal Dock, has broad-spectrum therapeutic qualities and has been used in traditional medicine for millennia. This plant's extracts and metabolites are anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, antipyretic, analgesic, purgative, anti-algal, central nervous system depressant, wound healing, and skeletal muscle relaxant. The leaves of this shrub are edible and strong in antioxidants. It has the potential to be a rich source of treatment against major illnesses due to its extraordinary biological activity. More research is needed, however, to describe the mechanism of action, isolate and identify the active ingredients, and scientifically validate the plant's traditional use.
