There are represented the results of analysis of anatomical characteristics of overground vegetative organs of a rare and endemic species of Ferula iliensis which was investigated in three separated cenopopulations. As a result of research, high development of the mechanical and assimilatory tissues which are located in peripheral layers of the stem just under the epidermis for the individuals from a cenopopulation Nr.3 was revealed. Moreover, the individuals from a cenopopulation Nr.2 have more extended cells of the palisade parenchyma located in several layers, and respectively, the most thick leaf blades.
